Add a personal touch to your Thanksgiving tabletop with gilded
foliage place cards made out of materials that you likely have on hand.
1. Gather leaves from outside—if you don’t have leaves you could always use artificial ones from a craft store.
2. Dry leaves if needed.
3. Spray-paint gold.
4. Tie place cards to them with autumnal-hued ribbon.

Designer Libby Langdon Covers House Beautiful, Reveals 4 'Daykeovers'
Huffington Post Article 11/19/13
24 may not seem like enough hours in the day, unless you're designer Libby Langdon who's found her sweet spot making over homes in precisely that amount of time.
We aren't talking about a full-out overhaul, but a concept Langdon's coined the "daykeover," a 24-hour refresh that she details in the December/January issue of House Beautiful magazine.
“Not everybody can go in and overhaul a room with all new furnishings,” Langdon tells the magazine. “Sometimes you just need to add a few new pieces or rearrange existing ones -- which can be just as fun and dramatic as a complete redo,” she says.
By the looks of the three Rumson, New Jersey spaces she transformed here, we agree.
Check out these four tips from Langdon on easy ways to revamp a room in a pinch and her full House Beautiful feature (including the unbelievable before photo) when it hits newsstands on November 26.

Traditional Home Magazine featuring Libby Langdon Upholstery
Libby Langdon Upholstery for Braxton Culler
Andrews Sofa and Merrill Chair and Ottoman currently featured in the July/August 2013 issue of Traditional Home Magazine
For designer Libby Langdon, the goal of the fun room was “to create a relaxed retreat reminiscent of an English club room with a modern, sexy twist,” she says. “I wanted it to be an inviting space as ideal for cocktails and billiards with friends as it is for quiet moments reading a good book.” At almost 1,200 square feet, the room’s plan was a challenge. To humanize the space, Langdon used multiple seating and gathering areas and delineated the spaces with sculptural light fixtures and creative furniture placement. Noteworthy accessories –antique boat replicas, globes, maps and old books from English Country antiques – entice interest. “I wanted to visually draw you into the space,” says Langdon. “I thought of the homeowner as a world traveler who loved collecting lots of beautiful objects. They truly become a focal point of the space.”

Fab Furn: Libby Langdon Peel-and-Stick Wallcoverings
By Jennifer Quail, About.com Guide
Interior Designer Libby Langdon expands her reach with a new line of removable and reusable wallcoverings with Casart Coverings. The line, this week's pick for the Fab Furn spot, caught my attention first because I truly love the palette and patterning. When I read further and learned it was peel-and-stick -- not too permanent and nowhere near the labor involved in standard wallpaper -- I was hooked.
The line is set to debut this month at Holiday House Hamptons, a luxury designer showhouse sponsored by Hamptons Cottages & Gardens magazine. Proceeds from the showhouse benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Langdon is one of just 22 designers invited to participate.
Shown here are two of the patterns starting the line. Personally, I'm a major fan of the Chic Chevron in the bright orange shade and happen to have a favorite scarf that could be its sister.
Langdon moved a bit more into the public eye with her work on real life, one-day makeovers on NBC's Open House. Next up is her own television show, Daykeover with Libby Langdon! The show will feature an interior design makeover that happens in less than 12 hours. Expect to see some of her eponymous product on the new show.

LIBBY LANGDON LAUNCHES LUXURY PEEL-&-STICK WALLCOVERINGS COLLECTION
New York, NY, June 3, 2013 -- Known for her easy, elegant, everyday design style and real life one-day makeovers on NBC's Open House, interior designer Libby Langdon has partnered with Casart Coverings to create her line of removable and reusable wallcoverings as part of her growing collections of branded home furnishings products.
"I am absolutely thrilled to be designing my collection for Casart Coverings," says Langdon. "I love this product - it is so smart and innovative. I work with many clients who want the WOW factor of wallpaper, but are put-off by its permanence and labor-intensive installation. This amazing peel-and-stick wallcovering allows folks to have fun with color and pattern in an easy, low-commitment, temporary way. You literally just start at the top of your wall, pull the backing sheet off and smooth with your hands as you go...no tools necessary! If you need to, you can simply lift and reposition, without frustrating buckling and bubbling. I believe design should be accessible and fun and all of my products, from my upholstered furniture to my rugs, are based on direct input from my clients who don't want to sacrifice style for comfort, practicality and ease."

EAL: What can viewers expect to see and learn from Daykeover?
LL: Viewers of my new show can expect to see a space in its ”before” state and then a specific walkthrough where I target what’s not working in the space—this allows people tuning in to possibly identify what might not be working in their own homes. ....
